The Community First Team went on two visits to the National Eistedfod in cardiff.
Maerdy Welsh Society went on Monday and Ty Ddewi Welsh Society and Penrhiwceiber and Miskin Welsh Society went on tuesday.
Albert, Annie a Margaret from Ty Ddewi are in the top picture. Annie is 95 years old and is fond o wearing her Welsh costume!
In the bottom picture Val, Paul and Anthony meet the cast of Pobl y Cwm yn Maes D, the Welsh Learners' Pavilion.

We has a wonderful time strolling around the maes in the morning and in the pavilion in the afternoon.

A fun filled morning was had by the children of Cylch Meithrin Thomastown when a very special guest came to visit.

Martin Geraint, bilingual childrens entertainer (and presenter of Planed Plant - S4C childrens viewing) provided an hour of singing and dancing for the toddlers and their parents. 'Its great to have an opportunity to share and enjoy Welsh entertainment with my child at a level we can both understand', said a mum who came with her son to the show.

Fun on the Play Schemes
Children are having fun at the OPEN ACCESS PLAY SCHEMES organised by Menter Iaith at Abercynon, Llanhari,
Llyn y forwyn, YMCA Pontypridd, Rhydywaun and Bronllwyn.

The open access service is provided for children ages between 5 and 14 years old and run from Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 12.00pm. Activities include bouncy castle, art and craft, drama, dance, singing, cookery, special visits, outside play activities and various sports. Plenty to keep any child lively and happy!

Despite the poor weather Parti Ponty was a great success this year again. Over 4000 people came to Ynysangharad Park to see the excellent performances on the stage, the information and craft stalls, and various activities.
